You'd need to transfer there for the canyon bus. If you wanted to go to Alta you could take that bus to the Little Cottonwood Canyon park and ride (94th so 2000 east). So the bus from Southtowne area/106th south goes all the way to Solitude/Brighton. I do know that sometimes during the heart of the season they have more buses running. I'm pretty sure if it is on the website there is a bus running but they have only been going for a week, so maybe he just hadn't seen it start yet. There are certainly buses that come and go all day, but they aren't all ski buses.Īnd the person from Hampton Inn who said they didn't know if there would be a bus. So if you miss that bus then you'd have to get to the park-and-ride lots at the mouth of the canyons (what you called the Big cotton canyon park- there is one at the mouth of both Little and Big Cottonwood canyons). ![]() There are two stops listed for that small area so it probably doesn't stop at every hotel, but they are all next door almost. There are three or four hotels by Hampton Inn. Okay, The only bus listed at the moment from the SouthTowne area (Hampton Inn, 106 south) does only go once in the morning.Leaving about 8:30 during the week, earlier on the Saturday, and comes back down twice in the afternoon. I don't think you need to get off a bus at a park and ride unless you want to transfer, and that would depend on which route you were on and which canyon you were heading to. Part of the reason for not stopping at hotels, except in Sandy or Downtown is that there is not anywhere else that the hotels are concentrated. (there is that one with a Quality Inn on it,can't remember which number) It looks like this is the only one that goes around to the hotels though except the downtown bus, which stops at the Big Cottonwood park and ride before heading up to Little Cottonwood. So you'd need to transfer to go to Alta Snowbird. If you stay at 106th south (Sandy at Southetowne) then you have a bus (#955) that goes directly to Solitude and Brighton. I'm guessing this is where you are looking. But I can't find a master map with all of them on one. So it helps to know where you want to ski before saying which bus would be best and then finding a hotel along the way. There are 10 different ski-buses, about half go to Little Cottonwood (Alta, Snowbird) and half to Big Cottonwood (Solitude, Brighton).
